Advanced Google feature - the proximity search

Many of us know the Boolean features such as AND or OR to serach more accurately on databases or journals.
However, I was surprised to read that Google had a proximity feature, similar to others that use NEAR(X) or W/X, where X is the number of words between the two search terms.

For Google the proximity search is called AROUND(X) and Phil Bradley has written more about this feature on his blog: http://philbradley.typepad.com/phil_bradleys_weblog/2011/01/proximity-search-in-google.html
