Dear colleagues,
To follow on from our successful Research Squared conferences in 2010 and 2011 we are pleased to announce the third Research Squared Conference at Loughborough University on 19th and 20th March 2012.
The central theme of this year's conference is presentation, dissemination and publication of research findings. The conference spans two days and includes a combination of expert speakers and experiences from PhD students. In addition, there is also a presentation competition complete with prizes.
We warmly invite current PhD students from the fields of Library and Information Science and Computer Science to this doctoral conference. The conference aims to:
· Bring research students in LIS/CS together in a welcoming, entertaining and stimulating environment;
· Provide a comprehensive programme that enhances the understanding of students in LIS/CS regarding presentation, publication and dissemination;
· Offer a platform for research students in LIS/CS students to share their ideas about presentation, publication, and dissemination with fellow researchers via formal and informal channels;
· Help research students in LIS/CS understand how to raise the profile of their work;
· Aid in the processes of becoming skilled and effective communicators of research findings.
The conference is offered at a small charge to delegates – only £35 inc. evening meal.
